My pups have a fun, outgoing temperament and easy-going personalities. They have good bone and breed type, rich pigment with a plushy coat, and nice dark faces.
My puppies are born and raised in my home. They are use to hearing the washer, dryer, vacuum, TV, and radio (I have a radio on 24/7 for my dogs).
They are use to having their nails trimmed. They will have had their nails trimmed every 10 days or so since they were a week old. By the time the pups leave my house they will be partially paper /house trained, accustomed to being in a crate & car, and able to go up & down stairs with little or no problem. They would also have been to the Vet and received their first set of shots, first heartworm medication , first flea / tick preventive medication, and have been dewormed. I take the week they are born off from work so I can make sure that they are off to a good start. I only breed one or two litters a year and all my breeding stock is OFA'd certified or have preliminary X-rays if they are under 2 years of age.
In your puppy interview, expect me to ask you;
- Are looking for a male or female puppy?
- Have you ever owned a GSD or any other breed of dog before?
- Do you have any other animals at home and are they good with puppies?
- What level of activity are you looking for (i.e.a spunky puppy or one more laid-back)?
- Is this puppy for obedience competition/breeding purposes or are you looking for a family pet?
- Do you plan to neuter / spay your puppy?
- Do you own or rent the house you now live in?
- Does this house have a fenced in yard?
- Where would the dog be spending the majority of his time (tied in the yard, loose in the yard, kenneled in the yard,etc)?
- Do you have any children, and if so, what are their ages?

About Pup Terms:
1. Companion/Pet: A companion animal that embodies the basic standard of the breed and is sold with a limited registration and no warranty that the dog will be show quality or breeding stock.
2. Showable: A puppy or adult that is genetically free of all disqualifying faults and embodies the basic standard of the breed. This dog is not guaranteed to win in the show ring, however is understood that, with proper care and training on the part of the buyer, in due time the dog should be expected to win in the conformation ring.
3. Show: An animal that has been exhibited and attained a class placing at an AKC or SV conformation show.
